The Celtics have wrapped up their second day in Rome with injuries (Gabe Pruitt’s ankle… he’s day to day… Scot Pollard too) and some rookie hazing. Glen Davis is blogging from Rome for the Herald… and of course… his hazing had to do with food:
I got out a little Sunday night, and we got to see some things. The Spanish Steps were nice. It was a whole bunch of us. It was fine until I had my first rookie duty. Gabe (Pruitt) wasn’t there, so I had to do it alone. I had to eat a whole plate of octopus. I think that’s one of the toughest things I ever did in my life. I ate raw octopus. Everybody was like, “Eat it. Eat it. You’d better eat it.’’
So I ate it. You know, team spirit.
Hey… I like octopus.
Our Celtics preview was one of many (as I intimated before). If you didn’t visit the link to all of them before.. here they are seperately: Loy’s Place, Celtics 17, Green Bandwagon, CelticsBlog.
Every team will be previewed by at least one blogger… and we’ll bring you the links every day until they’re done.

The beginning of training camp always gets to me. I started tearing up when I saw that picture. So beautiful.
