Celtics Cribs

Earlier this week, we told you about the homes Ray Allen (left) and Kevin Garnett purchased in Massachusetts. It didn’t take long for the pictures to make their way around the web.

Allen reportedly bought this sweet 11,000 sq-ft mansion in Wellesley for $4.6 million. Here’s the realtor’s description:

Magnificent custom crafted Colonial handsomely sited on 1.5 acres in prestigious Wellesley Farms. The grand marble foyer with curved walls and distinctive millwork set the tone for this 15+ room, seven-bedroom home with 9.5 baths (plus lower level). All tastefully appointed for today’s discriminating buyer.

I’m not that impressed with KG’s house, even if it’s some 8,000 sq-ft mansion in Concord. Here’s the realtor’s description.

Dramatic 8000 sq. ft. contemporary estate located on almost 13 acres and sited on a berm overlooking Howes Pond….this extraordinary custom home that consists of “heterogeneous pieces that are simple and familiar on their own, but grouped together create something very unique.” Sunlight is abundant from the myriad of grand windows and the views are ever changing through the seasons, but always commanding.

Oh…to be rich. (If you get an error message on the links, try again. It may take a couple of clicks before connecting.)

  1. Ray’s house looks much more appealing.

But anyways, did you guys see who SI picked to be the MVP runner-up. Yep, you guessed it, Paul Pierce. Finally he’s getting the respect that he deserves around the league.

  2. love kg’s place. ray ray’s is just an oversized copy of a colonial. nice place, no doubt, and i’m sure it’s super luxurious, but it’s not original. i love how kg went for something unique and modern. wish i could see the inside.

  3. That’s going to be the last picture you see of Ray’s place for a while.

They’ve ripped out some stuff… shipped in full grown trees to obstruct the view… and they’re putting in a gate.

  5. KG is all about the acreage. His place in Minnesota was on a huge spread as well, and also had a pond on the property. If I had to guess, I’d assume that you can’t see the new house from the road, so he’ll have the privacy he requires.

  6. Yeah… that part of Concord is very private. It’s probably a 5 minute drive to the mailbox

  8. You can get a good view of KG’s house on Google Maps, but not so much with Ray’s. Anybody know where Paul or any of the other guys live?

  9. I’m not sure where Paul lives. I’m going to assume most of the rest of the guys live in condos around the Waltham area. These younger guys make great money… but it’s not mansion money. And they probably don’t want to live too far from work.

  10. Most of the younger guys live in this white condo setup near the movie theater in Waltham … D west, Al and Perk were neighbors, but Perk moved once he got that guap from his new deal and is lamping in Lexington now.

Kenny Anderson kept it city and had a 4 floor brownstone with private parking on Beacon Street, rooftop and view of the river.

Pitino lived next to the Vendome Building on Comm and Dartmouth.

Paul used to live in waltham in a modest gated townhouse row, but recently bought a palace in Sudbury …

‘Toine’s place before he got traded to the Mavs was crazy.

Ainge used to live near Weston High School, now he’s in Wellesley.

Dominique, Pervis and Radja used to live at Charles River Park; Gary Payton had a 4 bedroom apartment at Longfellow Place on Staniford Street, 34th floor, SICK view, and he lived there on his own as his fam was back west. He used to walk to the games, literally 25 steps to the Garden.

After dee Brown got arrested in Wellesley he bounced to constellation warf in Charletown.

Rick Fox had a tiny 2 bedroom near the Marshalls in Needham, right off 128 Muzzy Ford exit.

  11. Ray Allen’s House is SWEET! Looks like he doesn’t mind neighbors. I know people who live next to him.
    :)

  12. :D

  13. Does anyone know if Ray ever responds to his fan-mail?

  14. where in wellesley does ray live?
