Can We Break Red’s Record?

the 6-0 celtics

A win tonight will bring the Celtics half way to their best start ever (14-0 in 1957).

Yes… this is looking way ahead… but what the hell… why not, right?

Here’s the road to 15-0:  New Jersey, Miami,  @ Orlando,  Golden State, LA Lakers,  @ Charlotte,  @ Cleveland, New York, @ Miami.

Don’t those all seem like winable games to you?  They do to me.  I’m sure these guys might have an off night between now and then and we could lose a couple… but I’m just saying that a record setting start is possible.

If you missed our call in show last night… you missed a good discussion between me, Chuck and soon-to-be network news star TJ.  You can click here to listen to it.  Our next show will be post-Warriors next week.

Hey… are you a 6’11″ black guy?  You can pretend to be Kevin Garnett tomorrow (scroll down).

And this is the best part of the Marbury story:

Upon hearing that he would back up second-year guard Mardy Collins, Marbury marched toward the front of the team plane to meet with Thomas. Five minutes later, an enraged Marbury told his teammates that if he wasn’t starting he wouldn’t suit up for the game. But it was something else Marbury said that stunned his teammates in the back of the luxury plane.

“Isiah has to start me,” Marbury fumed, according to the source. “I’ve got so much (stuff) on Isiah and he knows it. He thinks he can (get) me. But I’ll (get) him first. You have no idea what I know.”

Congrats to those of you who had week 2 in the “when will the Knicks completely implode” pool.
