What the Hoff is going on here?
The last thing I remember was cracking open a second bottle of ouzo… pulling a rack of lamb out of the oven… and settling in for the second half of the Revolution game.
Next thing I know… the Revs are the Buffalo Bills and the Celtics……. oh wait……….. we just got another late whistle from Orlando………. and then Tom Brady was trying on gold Hall of Fame blazers.
Oh well… it was bound to happen. At least we’ve got the Patriots going out and dominating. It would really suck if we were….. say….. Steelers fans… and we had to watch Ben Roethlisberger get dropped like geriatrics on a Dick Cheney hunting trip.
We can blame the refs all we want. I mean… I hate NBA officiating more than anyone. I think the “let’s wait to see the outcome of the play until I blow the whistle” thing is horrible. If it’s a foul… it’s a foul… call it. But the C’s are supposed to be good enough to overcome that. When you’re a step slow and you reach… you’ll get a foul called on you. The C’s were a step slow in the first half… and they allowed 104 points. Crappy reffing or not… giving up 104 won’t help your cause. Besides… we’ll start a new streak on Wednesday. Losing once a month… eh… no big deal.

Unwarranted cheap shots. First you show a picture of my idol during his lowest moment…then you attack the Steelers.
The refs were abnormally bad in this game, they took players completely out of the game. How many people does Howard have to push before he gets a T? Rondo has to break his skull to get a call, yet Rashard Lewis gets that ghost call in the final minutes for 3 FTs. I expect bad calls, but not all on one side and not on the other. Normally Heinsohn makes too much of it, but last night it was warranted. I’m not discouraged by that game at all, they played well on the road, got good bench contributions in crunch time and almost won the game with Garnett completely taken out of it with foul trouble and Allen playing the worst game I’ve ever seen out of him(granted I dont I’ve never seen that much of him until now.)
Jeez Chuck… I gave you the lay up Greek stereotype… and you focus on the negative.
Refs are horrible every game…. it just so happened that the C’s got the raw deal in this one. It just puzzles me that these guys are so influenced by player and crowd reaction as well as the result of the play as opposed to what actually happened.
And I agree with Pat about Allen. He hasn’t looked very good as of late. He has been dribbling the ball way, way, too much which in my opinion has slowed down the offense the past few games.
