How You Like Them Apples?

Hey Quentin Richardson, you were right, the Big 3 ain’t nothin’. And we have no bench. Then how the hell did the Celtics whip the Knicks like dogs? The final: 104-59. You do the math (the lead reach a high of 52 for those who enjoy watching Isiah suffer). In his postgame interview, KG said Doc put Q’s not-so-smart comments (see post below) on the bulletin board and it fueled the C’s. That sounds great, but Boston University could have beaten the Knicks tonight.

Another benefit of this annihilation. KG, Pierce and Ray Allen sat out the entire fourth quarter. That rest should come in handy during Friday’s game in Miami (this analysis courtesy of Fire Doc). 

Here are my quick observations:

-Rondo (10 pts, 5-8 FG) looked awfully comfortable on offense tonight.  Then again, so did the entire Celtics team.

-TNT’s HD feed sucks.

-Glenn “Big Baby” Davis has played well (13 pts), but I seriously question whether he can dunk. He had two wide open chances and chose layups.

-How’s this for hustle in a blowout? KG blocks David Lee’s dunk attempt, then sprints down court beating everyone else and gets fouled going for a lay-up. All this with the C’s up 30.

-Despite the huge lead, Eddie House (15 pts) continued to take and drain 3’s. Maybe he’s Bill Belichick’s secret love-child.

-James Posey nearly killed Cedric Maxwell and Sean Grande after diving over the table for a loose ball.

-Isiah Thomas is so full of crap. Craig Sager reported a ridiculous story that Isiah claims to be so paranoid of Boston, he won’t order room service. (He claims someone tried to food-poison him back in the 80s.) Instead he had popcorn from the mini-bar for dinner. That is a big load of BS. How about sending the towel boy out to pick you up a burger?

In other NBA news, the highly overrated Phil Jackson reportedly signed a two year, $24 million extension with the Lakers. Here’s to two more seasons of the #8 seed in the playoffs.
