We here at Redsarmy.com are pretty high on the Celtics chances this season. I’m supremely confident the Green will, at the very least, win the Eastern Conference. But the folks over at ESPN are proclaiming us mortal locks to win the NBA championship. Check out John Hollinger’s new Playoff Predictor. It’s staggering. I’m still drooling.

A 42.6% chance to win the title? J-Holl, we’re good but I think there might be a flaw or two in your calculations.

Somehow every1 else in the East that’s in 1st has a 100% chance of staying in first and we only have 99.9% with Toronto in a close 2nd at .1%.
Our worst season was 52 wins and the best was 75. If we end up splitting the difference at 63 wins, I’ll be ecstatic.
I’m guessing that 63 is pretty realistic. We’re on a pace to win 72 right now… so you figure with a drop off we’ll fall back down in the low 60’s.
