Well lookey here… the Charlotte Bobcats are in town to get absolutely rolled by the Boston Celtics tonight. It’s about time, because I was getting bored with the lack of playing over the past few days. How much can someone write about “hey… we’re awesome!”
Look, sports blogging involves at least one of a few key staples:
-
bitching about your team
-
bitching about the writers who cover your team
-
blatant t & a
-
making fun of other teams who really suck
-
bombastic, 10,000 word diatribes about a nuance that you find important, therefore everyone else must be subjected to it.
Well… there’s little-to-nothing to bitch about with the team. Without much for the writers to bitch about… it’s hard to call them out and say they’re wrong. And Chuck’s got all the t & a hidden in his own personal stash.
So next on the list is making fun of the other teams. And I don’t know how we can possibly make fun of Charlotte. It certainly can’t be the fact that half the team got schooled by a fat, wheezing, shell of what used to be Michael Jordan in practice. And It can’t be that after last night’s big win against the Nets that they’re destined to trudge into the Garden and be tortured to an extent that would make the Saw producers turn away. And it can’t be that their most promising young star, Gerald Wallace, is so fragile that the potential exists for him to miss 3 weeks after stepping outside into a stiff breeze. So… I’m at a loss. So I’m just going to predict tonight’s score: Boston 117 Charlotte 88
