I fear for Doc Rivers’ safety if he tries to keep KG away from this game tonight. Doc did come out already to say Garnett ”could” play against the Mavs tonight… which I interpret as “I’m going to let him play because I don’t want to avoid him ripping my head off if I sit him.”
I also think that tonight will end one of those “(insert good team here) has dominated the Celtics for (however many years we’ve sucked now)” The Mavs have beaten the C’s in 13 of their last 14 games. Yeah… that goes away now.
Blind, rabid devotion careful analysis tells me that the Celtics will win. They don’t have Devin Harris… and Jason Terry is banged up. So they’re weak at the point.. and they’re not exactly strong in the middle. That will open up lanes for Rondo and Pierce… and free up our shooters outside. I’ll say Dirk and KG are a wash… but everything else points to a Celtics win.

I’ve been right all but 8 times this year
No way KG plays.
Unless you have inside info… I’d wager you’re wrong.
Obviously I don’t have inside info….but the five day layoff is the key. Why risk re-aggravation when at this stage, 5 more days will likely allow it to fully heal?
I hope he plays and I want to beat Dallas, but this is just my hunch.
I Hope KG sits down this game for a few reasons.
1. like Bigmck said there’s a five day lay off why risk it.
2. KG has the most wear and tare out of the “Big3″ some rest isn’t going to hurt him.
3. This game really doesn’t mean anything compared to the big picture
4. If the bench plays really well against the Mavs it will give them alot of confidence.

I think KG will play simply because he’s wanted to play for the past 2 games…. and all indications are that he would play if the game was really important. Also.. this is the Mavs at home… I’m sure he sees this as a very big game.
