The Big 4-0

A clearly disinterested Celtics squad beat the Pacers tonight, 104-97, for their 40th win of the season. I can’t blame them, I couldn’t get into this game either. The C’s were sleepwalking for most of the night and still managed to win. Even without KG, the Celtics are good enough to beat most teams in the NBA. Ah…it feels damn good to reach that status. As for the game, Paul Pierce (28 pts, 12 reb, 5 asst) was awesome. Rajon Rondo (12 pts, 7 reb, 7 asst, 2 stls, 2 blocks) filled out the stat sheet as usual. But my favorite line was Leon Powe’s – 16 pts, 9 rebs, and a +24. When he was on the floor, the energy level soared.

Box Score | Recap

I love ya Larry, but what the hell are you doing with the Pacers? You need to move Jermaine O’Neal for just about anything….and keep building around Danny Granger.

  1. I took a break from the game to do some taxes. The Cs is the first team to reach 40 this season… What a huge turn around from last year… 8 more wins and we double the games won last season. Paul is really a warrior. Kevin Garnett may come and go, but PP will always be a Celtics… If it wasn’t for Paul I would not give a damn about the NBA… Had given up on the Cs years ago, PP brought me back in the 03/04 season. Again, Thanks Paul keep smiling, your smile are like sunshine peeking through the clouds…

  2. [...] Pierce had 28 points and 12 rebounds, and the short-handed Boston Celtics beat the Indiana Pacers 104-97 to win their fourth straight [...]

  3. Sounds like Mandy has a crush on PP.

  4. I do, but my man knows all about it and he doesn’t mind…. Also got a crush on Obama…
