The Rookie Challenge is over, the Sophomores (coached by C’s assistant Tom Thibodeau) won it 132-105. Daniel Gibson of the Cavaliers was the MVP for hitting a Rookie Challenge record 11 3-pointers. Rajon Rondo had 6 points, 6 assist, 3 steals and 3 rebounds… which might be the most meaningless stat line I’ve ever reported.
The most meaningful stats in day one are all the houses and schools that were built, fixed, and repaired by the NBA. That’s Paul Pierce helping out. Here’s a shot of Doc Rivers on the job… and Ray Allen painting a school.
