I’m trying like hell to come up with a mid-season awards thing… but I’m just happy to have a little break this All-Star weekend to really assess what we’ve seen so far. And I’m even happier that guys are getting the break they need to relax and get healthy. Doc Rivers better do the right thing Sunday night… and play Ray Allen sparingly so his ankles hold up the rest of the way. No need burning him out in an exhibition.
Speaking of Ray… he was on Conan last night. Here’s the whole interview on YouTube. Who knows how long it will last before its taken down. The Herald handed out its mid-season grades… I think they’re all fairly on point. The Globe is also measuring success. They’ve also got some comments from Doc about being in New Orleans.
Other notable mentions: Isiah Thomas continues to be a complete moron. Vin Baker’s restaurant has been taken away from him. I’m not sure how to react to this story about Zach Randolph. On one hand, he enjoys the food of my people. On the other, he nearly destroyed the place in a fight. I’m guessing Zach likes all kinds of food… so liking Greek stuff is nothing special. I’ll just hate him for costing my people money. Jerk.
