50-50 Chance

Will Kevin Garnett play tomorrow night against the Denver Nuggets?

It depends on who you ask.  KG says:

“These last four days have been my strongest days. I’ve made major strides and I’m happy with where I’m at. A couple of weeks ago I could only do limited things, and I’m back to my old self again.”

Doc, on the other hand…

“I would say 50-50 at best for Tuesday”

But he’s got a reason:

“I’ve got to get a clearance from Eddie (Lacerte, the team trainer), where Eddie thinks he’s ready. You have to think about conditioning, too. We’re going to Denver, so that, with the thin air and everything, could be a factor, too.”

So there.  The answer to whether KG will play against the Nuggets is a definite… maybe.  Glad we can answer that for ya.

Herald:  Making it look Big Easy  |  Family fun for Doc  |  C’s a Hub of national interest  |  Globe:  Allen a shining star for the East  |  Garnett hopes he’s ready to go  |  Its Kidd stuff  |  Camerato:  All Star more than a game for Doc  |  Kidd deal back on track

And things are really going great for former Celtics Acie Earl.  He’s doing exactly what you’d expect a former NBA player to be doing… and by that… I mean the total opposite:

Acie Earl recently acquired his real estate license and now is working at Sellers & Seekers Real Estate Company helping buyers and sellers with the sale and purchase of homes.  He currently is a basketball coach for freshman boys at Solon High School, is a personal trainer and is the host of the “Acie Earl Variety Show” at 8 p.m. Wednesdays on channel 18.

Acie Earl is a personal trainer?  Really?  What does he teach… how to run like you’re giving a mastadon a piggy back ride?

  1. This tap-dance by the Celtics makes me appreciate the way Bill Belichick handles injuries. When he’s ready…you’ll see him on the court.

  2. I think the bottom line here is that he’ll be back on this trip at some point.

But you’re right… I’d love them to be more like the Pats. He’s injured…. and when he’s not, he’ll play. Done.
