The Celtics added 38-year-old P.J. Brown to the team today, in a move nobody really saw coming. When asked by the afternoon goons on WEEI whether new reports the Celts were interested in Brown were true, Danny Ainge flat out said, “We’re signing him…” No word yet on when Brown will join the team.
wow.. that came out of left field
OK, I like this. We needed more size off the bench, three 6′8″ guys and Pollard (who I haven’t seen play in quite a while) will not cut it against the bigger teams.
NOW, we need a backup point guard. I think Flip Murray would be a better fit than Sam CassOLD. Flip is a bigger guard (6′3″ 200lbs), who probably knows how to play Billups and can size up with him better.
All that being said, the Celtics are still the best team in the NBA and tonight will be another test they’ll have to pass (beating the Eastern Conference Champs) and beating Detroit next week will prove who the best team is going to be.
Pollard’s played in the last couple of games, with a ridiculous hairstyle I might add. This is a good move though (assuming PJ Brown stayed in better shape than Chris Webber).
You can never have enough BIG’s not to mention with the experience that PJ has!! No body said he was going to start but what the hell he can’t do any worse than Perk, what did he have in the game against the cavs one rebound….NOT GOING TO CUTE IT!! He needs to lose the attitude and start getiin some bords like POWE and even Rondo gets more bords a game than Perk. So I like PJ on our team now all we need in a BU PG.
