Rajon Rondo is probably right…
“I don’t really focus on what people say about needing a veteran point guard,” a confident Rondo said after the game. “As long as I have veteran guys around me, I think I am probably pretty good, and I will continue to listen to them. I am just happy with the way we played tonight, and its just one game and we need to go forward from here and play Chicago on Friday.”
Hey Jason Maxiell… what do you think of Rajon Rondo?
“mmmmph… mphhh…mphhh”
I know… it’s hard for you to talk with his nuts in your mouth.
But hey… you’re going to be on Rajon’s highlight reel for the rest of his career. So you’ve got that going for you… which is nice.
Here’s the good news for C’s fans… Rajon’s figuring out that he can blow by guys… and help the team by getting to the rim. It’s all about being aggressive:
I didn’t want to give him a night off by passing it. I knew coming into the game tonight that he would probably sag off and help out on other guys, so I wanted to stay aggressive.”
One thing I loved last night was seeing Rajon Rondo wave off Paul Pierce on a couple of occasions… and Paul actually moving and executing the offense. I love Paul… and I love that he wants the ball… but Rajon is getting more confident out there with the fact that HE is running the offense. He might be the 4th option… but he’s floor general. And he’s the floor general for the undisputed #1 team in the East right now. See ya in the playoffs, Pistons.
