When KG hits the free throw line tonight… I’m going to try to get the “MVP” chants going again. But ask KG who the MVP is… and he’ll tell you The Truth.
“I got Paul for MVP this year,” said Garnett, who won the award four years ago with Minnesota. “He does a lot of things, just little small things that people don’t see. There are only three people I like to watch on offense, and he’s one of them, man. He makes scoring look easy. He has an uncanny confidence about him that I love, cockiness and self-assurance.
“I told you, there is a reason why I came here. He’s one of the reasons.”
KG is playing his time here perfectly. He hasn’t tried to take over the team… he lets Paul get introduced last before games… and its all part of why this whole “Big 3″ thing is working. Although… I wonder how Ray Allen reacts to hearing KG picks Paul as his MVP?
Hey… Check out the Atlantic Division Roundtable over on RaptorsHQ.com… a bunch of bloggers for Atlantic Division teams got together and shared our thoughts on the season so far, the playoffs, and the future.
Herald: Kendrick perks up his game | Enterprise News: C’s look to stretch streak to 10 | Pruitt scores 23 in Flash loss | TrueHoop: Mark Cuban bans bloggers | SI: Kupchack is Exec. of the Year (ok… I get it. He “stole” Gasol. But Gasol is no KG. And Danny also traded for Ray Allen… has signed key free agents… and is getting big production from 2nd round picks. Get real.)
ESPN is ranking the top shooting guards of all time. Is Kobe really #2? Jerry West is #3. Pete Maravich is #8. Earl Monroe is #9. Something about that list doesn’t sit well with me.
Rondo is my Team MVP! He has to run the team and find a way to keep 3 SUPERSTARS happy!
I think there is something to that. Everyone here knows I love Rondo.
