The Celtics have a tough stretch of games coming up… so Doc Rivers decided to give the team today off. But when he did it… he knew it wasn’t really going to be a day off.
“Every single guy will be in the gym [today],” said Rivers. “That’s why we do it. We kind of fell upon that when we noticed that…Once we saw that they continued to do that, throughout the year, then as a coach you knew this was a team you could give days off to.”
Besides Garnett, one player who is always present on the team’s off days is Glen ‘Big Baby’ Davis.
“If he doesn’t [come every day], he would be ‘Bigger Baby’,” joked Rivers.
Just add this to the reason why I love this team.

Is that Brandon Wallace in the background? I thought he was with the Flash….
John, you should have heard KG’s press conference last night. This is pretty much all he talked about and it was amazing. He said they get 19 guys in there on days of on a regular basis. I don’t know how that is possible, but that’s what he said.
You know.. that might be Wallace back there. I guess that picture is older than I thought.
I’m telling you Tim… this team is special. This might be a once in a lifetime thing. I didn’t think it was possible for this many people to be “on board”
Rivers is a liar. He said the same thing last year and I was hanging out at a party with Al Jefferson. He insisted everyone was at the gym and I know for a fact they weren’t.
