Off Target

deron williamsThe Celtics shot 3-15 from 3.  Paul Pierce finished with 8 points.  Ray Allen left in the first half with a “jammed ankle.”  (It didn’t look too serious… but who knows)

None of those are good things.  The final score wasn’t good either.  That was 110-92 Utah.  That’s just the 2nd double-digit loss of the season for the C’s.

Deron Williams killed the C’s.  He went to the line 18 times… and he made 17 of his free throws.  Final line for Deron:  32 pts, 8 asst., 5 reb.   KG led the C’s with 15 points.  PJ Brown and Sam Cassell were DNP’s.

I think the reffing in this game was beyond crappy.  Its fine if you want to call the game close… but do it on both ends.

There is a little good news:  The C’s could clinch the Atlantic tonight if Toronto loses… and at this writing… they’re getting bitch-slapped by Denver.

  1. well the good news is I made the playoffs in the RedsArmy Fan. B-ball oh yea I’m a XXL because I’m tall . …………..and I can’t lay off cheese and Beer so I’m slighty over wieght as well

  2. this is one of those “shake em off game’…they played beyond crappy..they looked confused all night…no ray allen…not to mention pierce didnt play most of the 2nd quarter cuz he was sittin w/ fouls…and they still were only down a few with 5 mintues left

i wasn’t exactly complaining about the refs…because they seemed like they were trying…but their consistency was terrible tonight…hiehnson was right most of the time for what felt like ages

not a good way to head out west…we’ll have to see how they respond

  3. That’s my biggest beef with the refs Shooter. Be consistent.

  4. They shouldn’t even be calling the game so tightly. People don’t come to NBA games to see the refs. The refs don’t get paid millions of dollars to decide games, the players do. If a foul doesn’t directly impact the outcome of a play, let it go. It’s basketball not girls field hockey.

  5. Violet was god awful. She shouldn’t be reffing NBA games. She should be reffing my little sister’s U11 league.
