It’s St. Patrick’s Day. The Celtics are wearing their golden St. Patty’s Day uni’s. And they shocked the Spurs, in San Antonio, exactly one year ago tonight.
What does this all mean? Well…. nothing…. if you’re sober. But 5 Guinnesseses and a couple of boilermakers into the early afternoon it means we’re a mortal lock to kick this trip off with a win (I’m guessing loyal reader/avid drinker Jester knows exactly what I’m talking about. Am I right? Cheers!).
Rajon Rondo’s latest blog entry comes from the road… and he’s happy with his new teammates:
Last night’s game against the Bucks was good. I’m glad we got the first W. Getting the first win makes the road trip go a lot better. Our two new guys, Sam and PJ, did good. They’re learning the system and catching on quickly, and our team chemistry is good- that makes things go a lot smoother.
That’s good to hear. Also… SI is illustrating the point of my previous point quite nicely, thank you. Ian Thomsen’s latest piece on the C’s is titled: Testing, testing. Testing, testing. Also out there: Bruce Bowen hates being called dirty (note: Then stop kicking people).
Rajon must have done very well in English class with such a “good” variety of adjectives.
And I was thinking about Jester before you even mentioned his name.
How stupied is the NBA for having the Celtics on the Road for St. Patrick’s Day! It should be an automatic thing to have the C’s at Home for St. Patty’s just like The Thanks Giving day Football game in Dallas!
a win tonight would be huge
Oh yea, Getting ther e, been going since 1pm C’s can’t Lose Happy Irish DAy
The Tsarist Russian Empire salutes fellow drinkers of Irish descent on this day.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
