Dear NBA,
Just in case you haven’t noticed, we just went into San Antonio, played like crap, and erased a 22 point deficit to win on their court. Then we went into Houston and did what none of you could do: beat the Rockets. We would have used an exclamation point on that last sentence, but KG already provided that last night. Bear in mind, we did this all without Ray Allen.
So you can forget that post-All Star break stuff that you saw with a rusty Garnett and no Sam Cassell. This Celtics team would beat last month’s Celtics team by 30 right now.
So that means we’re the favorite now. You Western Conference teams might as well start calling Boston hotels to book rooms. You’re going to have to come here for the finals.
But only book 2 nights. We plan on celebrating on your court.
Sincerely,
The Celtics

Boston is now 14-2 (.875) in the second game of back-to-backs this season, on pace to set a team record. The Celtics’ best mark to date is 18-4 (.818) in 1983-84.
This picture is perfect!
P.S. This is where REAL basketball happens.
Love the last few lines. So true.
But remember, don’t be too cocky. We don’t want to upset the fragile psyche of other teams’ fans.
You’re right.
I’m sorry rest-of-the-NBA’s fans. You have a very legitimate chance at making a respectable showing that should placate you as ESPN runs the footage of the Celtics victory parade.
Three words:
New England Patriots.
