Good Move Doc

The Celtics clinched home court advantage throughout the playoffs with their 101-78 win over the Charlotte Bobcats. A pretty impressive win considering KG, PP and Ray didn’t play a single second. First of all, I love this move by Doc Rivers. Giving the Big 3 this night off, allows them to have 5 straight days without game action. ConsiderĀ it a mini-vacation for rejuvenation. Rivers said two of the Big Three could also sit Tuesday against the Bucks, but that they would play in the remaining five games. I’ve criticized Doc for many things, but this strategy isn’t one of them.

  1. I’m with you here. I was initially worried about giving them a break like this but, as long as they all get time in for the remaining games and they don’t lose their momentum, then I’m all for it. Our boys played strong together tonight and that was awesome to see.

  2. I’m also with you and Doc. Doc’s been making all the right moves of late.
Although you and John seem to have different opinions on this one.

  3. i fucking love doc and all his rotations…. never would i blame anything on him.. i think he will have this team ready for a championship run and we will win it…..LETS GO CS!!

  4. I don’t feel too strongly about this. I would have done things differently…. but I’m ok with it as long as we finish well.

  5. Whoa…something is wrong with Tim (FD). He’s agreeing with me and Doc Rivers?

  6. It took him two games to figure this out. The Pistons have been resting players for several games while Doc was playing the big wanna be 3 for 3o plus minutes each against bad teams.

If Doc had a brain he would have done this many games ago. A 6 game lead with 9 games left wasn’t going to just dissapear The Celtics aren’t the Mets
