If you go by minutes played by the Big 3, then Doc clearly wanted to win this game. Pierce and Ray Allen played 37 minutes each, while KG logged 31. But Doc continued to mix-and-match rotations and the guys couldn’t get into a rhythm, especially in the second half. Thus a 109-95 Washington victory. The defensive intensity was not there (hence the 109 pts) and offensively the team was sloppy (20 turnovers). The Wizards are now 3-1 against the Celtics this season and this is sure to fuel some discussion as to whether they have our number. The answer to that ridiculous question is no.
Injury Update - Glen Davis left the game in the first half with a strained right hamstring. Rondo left the game in the third quarter due to illness. Sam Cassell missed his second straight game with back spasms.
Anyone else starting to notice what a blatant homer Donny Marshall is? He questions every block/non-charge called against the Celtics.
i thoguth that i only hated deshawn stevenson and agent homo on the wizards.. but add antawn jamison to that list.. i hope we see them in the second round. they dont scare me…. FUCK THE WIZARDS… LETS GO C’S!!!!!!
are you really getting on Donny Marshall for being a homer?
I like Marshall as an analyst. For some reason, I am just starting to notice his Tommy-like referee criticisms. Maybe some suit told him he needed to be more vocal…
Donny Marshall a homer….Right!
Donny is the anti-tommy. He defends the Ref’s when ever possible. I hope when Tommy retires we’re not stuck with him.
