Its part of an ad campaign that Reebok will be debuting online and in The Garden for the Finals.
Reebok filmed three commercials in Canton over the weekend with former Celtics Jo Jo White and Dee Brown and Patriots star Vince Wilfork. The spots will be shown online and in TD Banknorth Garden during the Finals. The first one shows a small car sliding between two Hummers into a parking spot. The drivers of the Hummers stick their heads out of their cars in disgust. Then White gets out of the small car and says, “Sorry, fellas, you just got Rondo’d.” The second ad shows Brown as a dentist, wearing a surgical mask. After pulling a tooth from a satisfied and surprised patient, Brown says, “It’s OK. I Rondo’d it. You’ll be fine.” The last commercial shows Wilfork and some of his teammates watching a game, with one slice of pizza left. Wilfork points out a window and says, “Hey, check it out, a parade!” While they look, Wilfork eats the last slice. A teammate says, “Vince, did you just Rondo my slice?” Another adds, “Dude, we totally got Rondo’d.”
For example… Steve Nash got Rondo’d in this game… Chris Paul got Rondo’d all night long a few months ago. Derron Williams got Rondo’d too. The Lakers are about to really get Rondo’d… because there’s no way D-Fish is quick enough to handle it… and there’s no way that 3-marshmallow front line will step up to do anything about it.
I’m going to be away for the next couple of days. I expect the rest of you to pick up the slack and back Chuck up in the face of ridiculous statements and delusions of victory by the hoards of Lakers flocking to our site. They’ll be the ones who disappear after the C’s take a 3-1 lead in this series.

As for Parker…is there any argument that Parker was certainly a non-factor in the series…ever heard of a “quiet” 20 pts…well that’s what he had…a quiet series…Dfish did his job…as he will in this one…
By the way we played Iverson and Williams prior to Parker…where does Rondo rank there?
Rondo won’t avg more than 12 and 4 …he’ll get his shots, cuz we’ll let him…
Williams was scoring in the 20′s and dropping 12 assists in each game. I’d say he did a lot. His shooting percentages weren’t great… but that’s because he took more jumpers than Rondo would.
Iverson is a different kind of player. He’s a gunner and primary scorer…. So him averaging in the high 20′s is different.
I’d say Rondo… ability wise… is slightly behind Williams. He’s quicker but not as strong.
So what I’ve seen here is…. point guards have had success against the Lakers. And our point guard is the #4 option. If he’s having success… you guys are in big trouble.
Williams is a stud Red…Rondo is “slightly” behind! Not even in the same league! If the Lakers didn’t beat Utah they’d be playing you Thursday…
I wasn’t implying Williams and Iverson were shut down, the point is we’ve seen the best at that position…Rondo isn’t going to steal our pizza slice or parking space…
…if he does have success its because you NEED him too and we’re allowing it to happen cuz the Big 3 are shut down…so I think the reverse is true…If Rondo has a big game, your probably down 10 with 2 minutes to go…
The Celtics haven’t trailed yet this post season in a game in which Rondo has been huge. In fact…. there might have been only 1 or 2 games all year where Rondo stepped up with a big game and the Celtics weren’t ahead for a good portion of the game.
Simply put… when Rondo plays well… the whole team is playing well. You can’t shut down the Big 3 when Rondo is playing well… because when he’s playing like that… everyone is involved.
And Rajon Rondo has not only held his own against the best PG’s in the league… he VASTLY outplayed Chris Paul… especially in the home game I linked to. It was such an embarassment… Scott put Janero Pargo on him to try to slow him down… and he switched Paul onto Ray Allen.
Rondo is right there with those other guys. They’re clearly 1-2….. and Rondo is a much closer 3rd than you’d like to think.
Don’t you think much of his success is due to the Big 3 demanding so much attention? Paul IS the team…more pressure, more responsibilty…he has to deliver.
Rondo is a solid player…put him in Paul’s place and they don’t win 50 games…maybe not 45.
Hard to say what they’d be with Rondo as opposed to Paul. Would they be as good? Probably not… but Rondo is a hell of a lot better defensively than Paul.
I’m sure some of his success is due to the Big 3…. but I’m also sure some of THEIR success is due to him. Rondo, at his best, dictates the play on the floor. He has no qualms about telling Paul Pierce to get out of the way and to his spot on the floor.
Rondo’s biggest weakness is his inconsistency…. but that will change.
I’m not gonna argue Paul all night, but any player handling the Offensive burden in both point scoring and playmaking that Paul has to on a nightly basis…defense will suffer a little, for sure…
Bottom line: You love your team and I love the Lakers…we agree to disagree…

If you lived in RI in the 80′s ( as I did) and were the only Laker fan in school ( which I was)…you get thick skin and a barbed tongue…especially around the Finals…
