Hey Pau… The Game’s 48 Minutes Long

paul gasolPau Gasol seemed to be doing well in the first half of last night’s game.  He went into the half with 12 points.  But the Celtics made him disappear in the second half.

Here’s Pau’s 3rd quarter:  a bucket at the 8 minute mark, a miss 30 seconds late, and a missed layup at the 1:09 mark.

Great job.  How about the 4th quarter: a missed jumper at the 4:50 mark, and a free throw with 1:54 left.

So Pau shot 1 of 4 from the field in the second half… and 1 of 2 from the line.

Doc made a great call switching KG onto Odom and Perk onto Gasol in the first quarter.  After the switch… Gasol got a couple of dunks on poorly defended pick-and-rolls.. and a couple of free throws in the first half.  That’s it.

Meanwhile, Odom was a non-factor.

If Gasol doesn’t do anything to erase this disappearing act… then the whole “Gasoft” thing is gonna stick.  Perk is about to tattoo the tag of “allergic to physical play” right onto Gasol’s head.

  1. It was amazing to watch this softie get shut down. Lets hope it continues.

On another note, I may no longer be able to listen to sports radio. Here are some comments I am hearing about the Pierce injury.

    “Paul Pierce got a cramp”

“it should be compared to FLOPPING”

    “Pierce is a drama queen”

I am FUMING over these comments. Are these people serious? I can’t believe people are actually shitting all over the guy over this.
