So JR Giddens was SUPPOSED to be in camp today… but he went home because he has not signed a contract. Also… Celtics higher-ups say there was no offer made to Corey Maggette, despite published reports. Danny Ainge DID, however, speak to Maggette… without making an offer.
Also… Perk had surgery on his injured left shoulder… which he hurt in the Finals.
I’m kinda surprised Giddens isn’t signed. Isn’t a first round pick’s contract automatic? What’s the hold up?
Thanks Marc Spears for wasting my time the past few days…..by reporting the C’s made an offer to Maggette. Maybe the Globe can put Shira Springer back on the Celtics beat.
Weird, because John Tomase also reported that multiple sources told him the C’s had made an offer.
We Better sign Giddens…i dont like that we dont have him locked away yet…but this could all just be because im paranoid about us losing posey so any sign of questionable news like this freaks me out
