I don’t know if anyone happened to catch the Big Show on WEEI this afternoon, but PandaBearesque Andy Gresh said something about Pierce’s pregame speech being bizarre. I was pissed, considered calling in, and then realized that Gresh, Ordway and the rest of those douches didn’t even follow the Celtics until last year. Ordway covered them in the late-Bird era, but other than that, these guys don’t understand the emotional pain Pierce AND true Celts fans endured over the past 15 years. If it was okay for guys to call their fathers and cry after the Sox won in 04, then it’s okay for Pdub to get emotional and thank the universe.
Um, TNT showed the entire ring ceremony during their pregame show.
