The Streak Reaches 12….

It wasn’t pretty…but tonight’s 122-117 overtime victory over the Pacers pushed the Celtics record to 20-2, the best start in franchise history.

Box Score | Recap

Killer Ray was the man tonight: 35 pts,  7-12 3FG including a back-breaking bomb with 42 seconds left in OT that sealed this one. Oh yeah…the Truth’s 3-pointer with 7 seconds left in regulation forced the OT.

  1. *no one* thought the green dream machine would start this season as strong as last, but at this point they’re even hotter. could they be even more dominant this year? with ray playing so great it takes a ton of pressure off pierce, and you know he’ll step up as soon as he’s needed or another starter hits a lull.

  2. Count me in that group of “no one”….

I really did think that they’d limit starter minutes by necessity… and that would cost them a few games early. But they’ve been able to limit minutes and still win games. It’s absolutely amazing.

  3. That was a nerve wreaking game. What’s up with these Pacers? Are we done with them yet?!

Ill say thanks to Pierce and Ray for lowering my blood pressure. But I did notice Big Baby didn’t do much in 12+ minutes, I was hoping he would come back with a decent game after the tears on the bench last time. I hate to say it, but I may give Scal baby’s minutes this year.

  4. “…green dream machine”

I love it. I’m totally ganking that and using it. But I do still like to refer to the Celts as The Champs.
