Tony Allen Injured

Frank Dell’Apa of the Globe reports

Celtics guard Tony Allen will miss the game against the Charlotte Hornets tonight with a right ankle strain. Allen, injured during the Celtics’ 100-88 loss to New York Sunday, could also miss the Celtics’ home game against Houston Wednesday.

“I re-injured it driving into the middle when I got called for traveling,” Allen said after viewing the Celtics’ pre-game shootaround at the Time Warner Cable Arena Tuesday. “I tweaked it and I should have left the game but I tried to play on it. Hopefully, it will be better tomorrow.”

We’ve been asking for more Gabe Pruitt… and now we’re going to get it.  Let’s see what he can do

  1. WAIT!!!?!?!?!

THE CHARLOTTE HORNETS ARE BACK TOGETHER?! What about the Washington Bullets!? Are they next????

Seriously though, it’ll be great to see Gabe Pruitt in. The guy definitely has a place in Boston.

  2. Yeah… I still want to call them the Hornets sometimes too.

  3. Get well soon T.A. Gabe, show ’em what you got baby. Gabe’s mid-range and 3 have looked great lately. We’ll see how consistent he can be.

  4. Blessing in disguise.

  5. I want to see Wakler or Gid instead of TA. I want to see Pruitt instead of House. House only hits a shot when the game is out of reach already

  6. I don’t think that’s true about Eddie. I think he goes through the same ups and downs a shooter goes through… but it’s not because of the score.
