The Rajon Rondo Show

Update: Rondo rolled his right ankle after stepping on Perk’s foot in the 3rd quarter. He went back into the locker room to get re-taped. Let’s hope he’s OK.

Rajon Rondo (17 pts, 6 assists) is absolutely killing Derrick Rose (2 pts, 4 assists) and the Bulls. Thanks to Rondo and some hot 3-point shooting, the Celtics lead Chicago by 1 at the half.

As usual, the refs are atrocious. I witnessed two of the worst calls in the history of civilization in the first half – the Rondo block after Derrick Rose buried his shoulder into the middle of his chest and Hnrich’s “block” on Eddie House which was 90% arm and 10% ball.

  1. and that foul against Moore…

  2. Rondoooooooooooooo. As Chris Webber would say. GP was hating on him again over on NBA TV tonight. Looks like KG needs to go slap him around again.

  3. Goddammit… Rondo rolled his ankle again.

    Tape that shit up.

nevertheless… it looks like right now half the Celtics are better than all of the Bulls.

  4. He rolls his ankle a lot and he loses his show a lot. Seriously, why can’t he tape and tie his shoes tighter?

They also missed two very clear walks on Salmons.

  5. *shoe*

    geez

  6. C’mon Perk..DUNK THOSE!

  7. Ok..now these refs are OUTTA CONTROL. WTF did Walker do to deserve that T?

  8. LISTENING TO THESE WGN COMMENTATORS IS NAUSEATING

  9. So who else was rooting for the wrong team by accident?

  10. I just looked for headbands….I feel bad for Walker, finally gets some burn and he’s having to play PF- and gets T’d up for looking at people.

  11. John F’ing Salmons..? C’mon..the injury Gods are NOT liking the Celts. I really hope this is the darkest and the dawn is coming soon..

  12. Not really a believer in these sports curses but could it be the marbury effect?

  13. Why was Perkins taken out in crunch time? He was tired, yeah, but would’nt it make more sense to burn a timeout or even two rather than have no guys taller than 6’7″ protecting the basket? Was Perk hurt or something?

  14. Thought Tyrus might have a big game but Brad Miller sick! Hope the Bulls play like this aganst Lakers.

  15. Boston,

You’ve gotta start wondering about Marbury. Our record without KG when he wasn’t with us vs. when he is says a lot.

Marbury has gotta be some kind of negativity for us. Even a friend of mine who is a Lakers fan told me he felt badly that we were stuck with him.

  16. It would alm ost be better for the team to forfeit the rest of the games. If it keeps up there won’t be enough players to play. The injuries are getting unreal.

  17. Just give SM some time. He hasn’t played in a year. The refs too they totally decided to make sure we lost. SM for MVP!

  18. Cut it out with the Marbury crap.

We have 10 healthy players, for Christ’s sake.

Let’s see if this Marbury curse takes any effect once we are ALL HEALTHY.

  19. Give me a break, stop blaming Marbury. If he was such a problem we would hear about it and he would not be on the team. The problem is too many INJURIES!

  20. FUCK!!!! kg NEED TO COME BACK ALREADY!!! i THINK HE HAS BEEN READY FOR A WHILE THEY JUST WANT TO KEEP HIM FRESH FOR THE PLAYOFFS BUT IN THE MEAN TIME WE ARE GOING TO SLIP TO THIRD IN THE STANDINGS AND WE LOOK LIKE SHIT AGAINST THESE LOSER TEAMS. GET KG BACK ALREADY…..FUCKKKKKKKKKKK

  21. What i was trying to say is the “curse” IS the injuries.

  22. Yeah,

Obviously the C’s are strong enough to withstand one player. It just feels like things aren’t so great after him joining us.

    Lighten up.

  23. The Celts just lost 2 in a row vs scrubs. Now what?
Time to hit the panic button?

  24. I call them flukes. KG, Scal, TA, and BBD back and our energy will be through the roof.

    No need to panic yet.

  25. kurt, you are one ignorant troll. Celtics have a ton of injuries. Come back when you get a clue.

  26. If there’s any consolation tonight, the fakers lost vs the sixers. a 3 point dagger at the buzzer killed the kobester’s arrogance!
